Meet Heather, our March Mama of the Month

Tell us about your family - My husband Dan and I, our daughter Siggy, our golden retriever Saul, and our cat Clover.

How did you meet your husband? My husband and I actually met on the internet! It was completely random.

Where are you originally from? I was born in Virginia but I consider Streetsboro my hometown.

Who is your celebrity crush or celebrity BFF? My celebrity BFF is definitely Jonathan Van Ness.

If your nickname was your pregnancy craving(s), what would it be? Peanut butter and tomatoes!

Where is your favorite place to travel? We don't travel like we used to, but I loved Stockholm when we visited.

What does motherhood mean to you? Motherhood to me means compassion and acceptance above pretty much all else.

How did you find FIT4MOM? What classes do you currently attend and why do you love them? I first found about fit4mom on Reddit! I was struggling with PPD and searching for activities for new moms and their babies and someone suggested that I check to see if there was a Fit4Mom in my area. My favorite class is Stroller Strides because I love that my daughter gets a playdate at the end, but I have taken most of the classes.

How has FIT4MOM changed your life? Before FIT4MOM, I had never experienced what it was like to have a sense of community. I've loved getting to know all of the parents involved and their great kids.

What's one thing you would go back and tell yourself as a new mom? I would tell myself that everything is going to be okay, and not to be so hard on myself.
